Do you stream to Facebook? If so, you may have noticed big changes to Facebook’s live streaming over the past few months starting with Meta discontinuing all third-party access to Facebook groups<\/a> and now new Facebook live streaming requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Meta: “Facebook is aligning its requirements for using Live with industry standards to continue helping streamers connect and engage with their audience while limiting the spread of potentially harmful content.”<\/p>\n\n\n

As of June 10, 2024, Facebook Live streamers will need to meet the following requirements in order to be able to live stream to their Pages and Professional Mode Profiles:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Your Facebook account must be at least 60 days old<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • All Facebook Pages and “professional mode” Facebook Profiles will need at least 100 followers<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    What does this mean for those who aren’t able to meet these requirements? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Unfortunately, you will no longer have access to live stream to your Pages until you meet the new requirements. If you’re using streaming tools like Ecamm Live, you will receive a message when you try to live stream to Facebook saying that you are currently not able to broadcast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Here are what the messages will look like in Ecamm Live v4.3.2 or newer (older versions of Ecamm will have a slightly different error message).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    While Facebook continues to move forward with updates to Facebook Live, it’s important to note that other platforms like YouTube, LinkedIn, and X (Twitter) do not currently have a threshold for streaming.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
