That’s why we were thrilled to head to Florida to meet with Liz Wilcox, the winner of Ecamm’s Content Launchpad contest, and help her upgrade her studio. Liz is an email marketing expert and content creator who makes connecting with audiences fun, fresh, and approachable. But her studio? That was another story.
Liz had recently moved into a new home, and her workspace was a blank slate—literally. The walls were bare, the setup was uninspiring, and as Liz put it, the space simply “wasn’t very Liz.” She wanted a creative environment that reflected her energy, personality, and brand—a space that would spark excitement every time she sat down to hit record. But now, with a more structured yet simple approach, she could streamline her workflow and enhance her content creation process.

One key goal for Liz was to ensure her studio was sustainable—not just in quality, but in usability. She didn’t want a high-maintenance setup that would require constant troubleshooting. That meant:
- Prioritizing audio quality: The most important element of any studio is clear, crisp audio. Liz’s Shure MV7 was already a great choice, but we fine-tuned her setup to maximize sound clarity.
- Keeping the tech minimal: Liz’s entire business runs in the cloud, so her studio computer was dedicated purely to streaming and recording, with no unnecessary software to slow things down.
- Creating a backdrop that tells a story: Instead of just decorating for aesthetics, Liz incorporated meaningful elements into her background, including a special custom Will Smith print gifted by her sister and a framed airline vomit bag—yes, really—on which she mapped out her first six-figure launch plan.
